Ukrainian Chapter of SPIE (SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering) is officially recognized organization from 1993 (certified by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on the 25 th April, 1994 ) and founded on the basis of SPIE Ukrainian National Committee. The establishment of the SPIE Ukrainian National Committee was authorized by the Board of Directors of SPIE on the 7 th of April, 1992, in accordance with the SPIE bylaws. |

Activity of SPIE/Ukraine Chapter is directed towards increased efficiency of the information exchange between scientists and specialists of Ukraine and world community in the field of development and application of optic, optoelectronic, electrooptic and laser techniques and technology and specialist exchange. |

SPIE/Ukraine Chapter promoted creation of Student Chapters of SPIE in such universities as Chernivtsy State University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kiev, Vinitsa State Technical University, Kiev National Technical University, V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University, Simferopol, Crimea, Ukraine. |
